You ever swapped an engine before? Not much to it other than working space is pretty cramped. If you haven't, it'll be a learning experience, but you can do it. Why not go to a crate engine, though?
Change of motor mounts in the C3 for the L98.. Tranny ok. Change of driveshaft (cut in 1/2) but a pretty easy swap: If you want the TPI set up you can do it with a crate and TPI set up easier and you have a better engine than an unknown L98. JUst switched to TPI threough First after a rebuild of block and heads. Kept my old rebuilt heads, bored the engine and crank, new cam +TPI Runs great.... A bit of work as you will have to do some reworking of your power sterring to accomodate the new pump (metric TO standard) You will also need to route a larger fuel supply line as well as install a fuel injection hi pressure fuel pump (I pout mine in the spare tire carrier area. You will also have to route the electronics (harness) and find a spot for the ECU (under passenger dash here)
For the 700R4: New 1/2 driveshaft, but yoke fits to your rear. Also a new crossmember to compensate for the larger tranny, rerouting of e brake cable, lock up torque convertor, wiring for lockup as well as a VSS for a speed density TPI system.
Good Luck.... (Sorry I have not posted pics yet)
