I was wondering if anybody has used these vehicle dollies. I am thinking that they would make it easier for me to store my car in the winter - I park it against the far wall of my garage, which takes about a 20-point turn.
I was also thinking that by using these, I wouldn't have to remove the tires because they would be off the concrete.
I have a set. They're great! Makes winter storage a piece of cake. You'll be pizzed you didn't get them sooner! Watch for sales, though, you can save a fair amount.
One quick question, this is my first winter as a new vette owner. I was planning on using jack stands. If I place these under my wheels will this be as good as using jack stands?
I got 4 for Christmas last year from Harbor Freight and love them. Since my car is under restoration they are great to move around the garage sidways or out on the drive way for sanding or whatever and the mess stays outside. I presently don't have tires/wheels on the car and use short lengths of 2x4 under suspension points. You gain about 6" of headroom for lifting the body off if you have a low headroom garage like mine.
baja216, I usually use jack stands but I am going to use these now.
I can't see anything negative about using these, but they will be a heckuva lot more convenient.
