I am a new owner of a corvette, it seems like a good car and runs great. The 2 problems Iknow of are that the tach. reads high it works but is not right also the speedo does the same thing. When im driving at 65 mph it reads 100 so the both work but not right. The guy I brought it from gave me all the recipts for the new stuff put on the car and Ifound one for some type of circuit board for the tach that was put on about 2 years ago.can anyone help me
Thanks
Geoff
sounds like neither are calibrated correctly. The Tach ciruit boards for the do it yourselfers can be a hit or miss situation. The speedo at 65 reading 100 means that someone has installed the incorrect gear in the trans..or the speedo has be calibrated wrong(bad wrong). If I were to guess I'd say someone messed with those and didn't have a clue as to what they were doing.Email me I can help

Congratulations on the purchase of your car. I recently purchased my first vette as well. Your problem sounds like what I had. The guy who I bought my car off of said the speedo was wrong. I found that the car was a canadian car and I was looking at the wrong speedometer markings. Look at your speedo and see if the outside numbers are Kilometers! I didn't realize that the outside numbers on my car were km/hr and the orange inside numbers were MPH.
I also had a problem with my tach. I researched it and it could be the tach filter. When I flushed my radiator out and changed somehoses the tach started working properly. I have no explanation for this.
