HalfShaft Sizes?

what are the different sizes that they came with for big blocks and small block applications?

I think they come in 2 sizes, 2.5" and 3". My 70 big block car had the 2.5" halfshafts. Seemed that the later C3's all came with 3".

That's right, although the larger diameter shafts used thinner metal, so they weren't any stronger. There is an article in the new Corvette Fever (I think) magazine about a company now making 3.5 inch halfshafts that will also have the ability to house larger U-joints. Also, another after market company is making carbon fiber halfshafts that will handle up to 2000 hp! There is a picture of one somewhere on this forum...
