Re: started fitting flares to the 73 today (patsnitrovette)
Pat,
Do you have any idea what a good body shop would charge to make those modifications and repaint the sections? And are there any kind of good instructions(videos) available to take on molding/fiberglassing in these flares? Obviously this is not something for a rookie to take on.
So.... are you now known as "Pat's Chop Shop"?
Re: started fitting flares to the 73 today (bgrice)
i really wouldnt know prices,i ve been doing my own body work and glass work for myself and a few customers i do mechanic work for, 17 or so years.Pats chop shop i like that. :yesnod: im the type of guy that will just jump into it and learn if its something i dont know.truthfully id rather do fiberglass work then metal work anyday.Ill try and make a webpage up of every step i do.bgrice did you check out rollingthunders website for his flare install, very good work.
Re: started fitting flares to the 73 today (patsnitrovette)
There's going to be some itching in your future!! :D But it's going to look so good! Dave's (Rolling Thunder's) webpages are very informative for anyone looking to do some fiber glass work.
I'm sure it's going turn out great looking!
Re: started fitting flares to the 73 today (patsnitrovette)
Pat, I personally think flares are the best body mod you can do to a 'vette. I can't wait to see pics of it when your done and have some nice rubber to fill it in!

What brand are those flares? Those are exactly what I've been thinking about for my '72... Where'd you get them? How much were they? I want I want I want!
