Firewall and Rear Body
I'm curious if the firewall itself has any value.
The way I see it there are a few options for separating the front clip from the firewall. If I were intending to put the front and rear back together again like NHVette's birdcage repair I see the definite value of the tedious hacksaw and putty knife method.
I haven't seen any demand for firewalls so I'm wondering if the most efficient approach would be the use of sawzall or other cutting tool to cut into the firewall and leave liberal amounts of fiberglass attached to the front clip fenders and grind those down later. This method would ensure no damage occured to my front fenders and hood surround. The rear body would also still be intact and I can sell off the fenders, rear deck lid, etc.
Anyone got any thoughts? Anyone need a firewall if I take the time to remove it intact?
Thanks,
Ryan
