Hi,
1980 , brake problem, here is what has been done thus far.
All brake bled, both manually and gravity feed. No leaks and almost certain no air. Still have real soft pedal and only fronts grab slightly, and of course dash light.
Went to proportioning valve and see it does not have a "reset" plunger. tried to simulate front leak and "jammed pedal to reposistion valve, no luck!!!
Am I up against a bad Master or Booster or proportioning valve or?????
I have verified all calipers function well, but it is like the rear will not "hold pressure??
Again, dash light on, pedal soft, a lil front grab no rear grab. Help Plz.

I had very similar problem with my brakes. I must have beld them 4 times and used a gallon of brake fluid. I did not find any sign of a leak anywhere, so I decided to remove the calipers and possibly rebuild or replace them. When I took the LR off and inspected it, I saw a very small tear in the piston seal. It would push the piston out, then draw air in. I replaced both rear calipers; problem solved. Good Luck!
