I had to remove tint from the back window of my '86 Camaro with defroster. It was a PITA. It WILL pull off the defroster if you are not EXTRA carefull. I ended-up using a razor blade to cut the tint near the defroster and pull it off then used a cleaning agent to soften the tint "glue" and carefully peeled it off the defroster lines. Good Luck.
tape a black trashbag over your window and heat it up using a hairdryer or heat gun..the bag is used as a medium so that the defroster lines won't screw up. the tint should soften to where it will peel..you might have to use a razor to get some parts off. good luck.
Yep, like the others said it's going to take a razor blade and a lot of patience. Lacquer thinner will work on the adhesive but you have to get to it first. If the film isn't too old it should peel off fairly easily. So you may want to cut down right near the defroster lines and peel out the film in between and then start working on the film actually on the lines.
