I picked the seats up from Louetta Upholstery this morning in Spring, TX and they really did good work installing the new seat foam and leather seat covers. Not the cheapest around, but I decided against tackling this project. It's amazing how much higher I sit in the vette with the new seat foam and someone fairly good sized would not fit now. Also included in this project was new front carpet, floor mats, center brake console, pad for the console, radio, kick panel speakers and rear speakers. The floor mats turned out darker than thought.
Re: Finished the interior.... semi-dial up friendly (DGT76)
Thanks for the nice comments. I have a question about new leather seat covers. Should I put a leather conditioner on them while they are new? I have a bottle of Eagle One Leather Care Conditioner that I bought about 6 months ago. Or is that *junk*?
Re: Finished the interior.... semi-dial up friendly (74 vert)
Looks great, the foam will settle after a few weeks of driving, mine did.
Just the last couple of days out driving has given a little more steering wheel clearance to my legs, so it sounds like you are right. The first time I got in my legs drug across the bottom of the steering wheel. I definitely like sitting higher now although no way a racing helmet would ever work again.
