Default Steering question

I do not have tilt/tele in my c3, and was wonderin if anyone else has an issue with leg to wheel clearance? I have manual steering, so if I put another steering wheel on it will it be a royal P.I.A?

Thanks.

one of the FIRST things I did was a late shark smaller diameter, thicker grup wheel.....on my '72.....then I did a TT conversion....then finally a couple/years ago....cut the front floorpan, and moved it forward...and lowered the pedals...and dropped the seat back tracks down allmost 2 inches...this makes the car driveable....

Thanks Gene - I plan on doing a TT conversion this winter, along with the wheel - some great ideas that you have. I am 6'0, and not that large a guy, but man.... it is difficult to work the turns with the wheel in my lap,,,

thanks again

Pulling the steering wheel isn't THAT big a deal if you can do normal car stuff...

I'd say do it!

I believe that 68 had the biggest wheel of them all. Very tight clearance between the wheel and seat. I put on a 2" smaller wheel unless I'm going to a special show. It is only 6 screws,I think, to change it. It makes it alot easier. Craig
