Anyone with connections to Edelbrock, Weiand/Holley, etc. Can we get an intake manifold made for the LS1/LS6 engines...in carbureted trim? :chevy

I would put a carbureted LS series engine block under my hood if I could. Is there anyone else who would be interested in an all aluminum small block based off today's LS engine with a carburetor slapped on top?

It would be tough for me to remove a perfectly good fuel injection unit to install a carb.

Sounds like a lot of work to go back to low tech. I think the reason you see them for the LT1/4 is that the eng is still basically the same configuration as the old sbc while the new ls1/6 is a whole new design which might not lend itself well to a carb.

Good luck trying to get the manufactures to do something for you.
Several 82-84 guys have contacted them trying to get some old crossfire intakes made again, they all told us to get lost ( in not so many words).

If you find someone willing to help you out at one of these company's, let me know so we can pester them about our wants.

I just saw em.... in my summit catalog. I will get you a part #. MJ

They come from GM Performance Parts! :)

for your LT1 NAL-24502592

for LT4 NAL-24502574

$259.95 each.... then you gotta buy a carb. but you could sell the efi and come out ahead! :)

whoops.... you said LS series..... I will keep looking.

For me- It's cost and simplicity. I can get (and frequently find) LS shortblocks without fuel injection or wiring harnesses, etc. for a reasonable cost. I already have the carburetor and most other accessories. After acquiring a carburetion manifold for an LS, there's only the motor mount and bellhousing adapters and I could have a carbureted LS engine in my bay.

That's the now part. When I'm out of school and have a career going, off comes the intake and carburetor and on goes the fuel injection unit and all necessary hardware at that time.
