Are 82s suppose to have the same size tire all the way around? If not I guess you don't rotate them. Whats a good all weather tire. Mine has 235/60/15 on front and 255/60/15 on rear.
I think the only vettes that came frmo the factory (stock) with different size tires were the Motion vettes (if you can call them "stock"). As far as size I think most vettes came stock with 235/15/70 or somewhere around there.
I run 255/50/Z16 all the way around and they handle very well.
'79's came with 225/R70-15's standard and 255/R60-15's optional. I currently have the 255/R60-15 Goodyear Eagle II's on my car. They are rated as a mud and snow tire.
Yokohamas all around, 255 60R15 rear, 225 60R15. It's only like that though because I didn't know 255s would fit when I bought the first 2.
Buying Kumho Ecsta STX 275 60R15 for the rear now due to a flat. I'll have 255s on the front soon. I was happy with the Yokos, just want to try something different.

Do the 295/50R/15s fit on 8" stock wheels with stock trailing-arms??? I understand re-routing E-brake cable is a 'must'...
As for the earlier questions, I think that late C3s ('79-'82) that had 'standard' (steel Rally wheels) came with 225/70R15s (Goodyears or Uniroyals {maybe?}), while the optional N90 'aluminum-wheel' cars & '82 Collector Edition cars had 255/60R15s (Goodyears only?) from St. Louis or Bowling Green
