Allright, here we go . My 1971 is painted 1996 Spies Hecker Torch Red, 17x8 Billet Specialities Phantom wheels, the interior is basically stock except a Billet Specialities Manta Ray steering wheel and a Alpine stereo with Infinity speakers hidden in the kick panels. Now for the fun part, the nom 454 was built using TRW LS6 pistons, Luniti Rods, steel crank, shaved oval port heads, TorkerII intake, Holley 750, Luniti cam and roller rockers, Hooker Super Comp. Headers and Hooker BURN YOUR LEG side pipes, all Jet Hot Coated. Since the stock transmission didn't last long, there is now a TCI 400 with a custom built converter for around 2800 stall. The car runs pretty good and sounds pretty good (Hooker 2 pass mufflers) and it turned out better than I had expected thanks to a lot of friends and family. Most of the work was done in a one car garage except for a mid night run thur a local paint booth (long story). As for pictures, I have many of the project from start to finish, but I'm not to sure how to post. I have entered it into a total of three car shows and have won one 2nd place, one 1st, and one Top 25, so it still needs some work, but I feel the need to drive is more fun than tring to keep it show ready. I hope to make one of the events mentioned here to meet some of you.
Welcome aboard! Sounds like you have done alot to your '71 and have it hopped up pretty good. You'll figure out how to post pics and we all want to see them. I also have a '71 LS-5.... all nominal stock though and the way I will keep it.
So far I have enjoyed the forum and have visited several times a day. I have got one picture figured out and will have several more by weekend. So let's see what you think.
