Disconnecting coil in 79

I need to disconnect my coil, my goal is that i dont want a spark going to the spark plugs. I am going to pump out some gas and since my carb isnt hooked up i dont want to screw up my engine.

Unplug the single large red wire that goes to the distributor. You will then have no spark.
