Alternator problems help plz!!!!!!!
i got a powermaster 140AMP alternator http://static.summitracing.com/globa.../pwm-67294.jpg it worked before but i did some converting to my belt system now the alternator is running off a 4inch pully. and it dosent start to make any power untill it hits like 2k RPMs. Can i do anything about this? is it a broken alternator? or is it just made for high RPMS? can i get one that works of littel rpms?? :banghead:

This is typical for high output alternators - they need higher RPM's to generate output. Not usually friendly with "underdrive" pulley systems. I would go back to the stock diameter (or smaller if you have the full "underdrive" set of pulleys installed) pulley for the Alternator.
