1982 horn problem
i am having a problem with my horns. they don't work. i tried testing the horns using the alarm. i locked the doors with the switch, i closed the door, i then reached in and unlocked the door manually. when i open the door, the horns should sound right? i dont even hear the relay clicking. where can i find the relay? where are the horns located? i tried looking for the horns to connect them directly to the battery to make sure they work, but i could not find them.

On my 79 the alarm horn is under the front quarter panel in the engine compartment just in front of the driver. There are two more horns (the regular horn from the steering wheel) in the nose under the headlight vacuum relays. Not sure if 82 is the same but you can start looking there.

on 1982 vettes they are not by the headlight relays .they are hidden inthe right front fender .look past where your headlights go they are in the fender . use a flashlight you will only see about halve the horn . i think the wire that you are looking for is green.
