Three words, SIDEPIPES ARE AWESOME.
Me and the guys were at the shop late tonight..drinking beers and bsing..the body on my 69 is still getting prepped for paint and i had the 69style factory sidepipe covers sittin in the box in the office...so we decided to mock them up on my buddy's 72 red vert. Oh man!! they don't do justice until you see them on a stingray in person. i swear, i was literally drooling...me and about 4 guys stood and just looked at it for about 45 min...i couldn't stop looking at them. OHSIXX, i definitely know how it feels. :cheers:

:iagree: It changes the entire car. Glad to hear I am not the only one who is so "struck" by those pipes. In my opinion, it is the way a C3 was meant to look. Congrats to you!

I can't imagine anyone not really liking the look of sidepipes on a C3. That was the first mod I did when I bought my car a year ago. :)

I gotta admit I love the sound right next to you with sidepipes. Not going to do it with this latest vette, but a 4-speed & sidepipes is a trip. Everyone enjoy! :cheers:

As the owner of a 69 coupe with factory sidepipes I have to agree that the sound is incredible. While we are on this subject - Does anyone know if the covers can be rechromed? Mine have started to "bubble up" through the chrome in sveral places.

the covers are made of aluminum...it takes a special chroming process...theres a place in Illinois that does it. can't remember the name..but its not cheap.
