Catalytic Converter
The catalytic converter on my 1980 Corvette has no "small pipe" protruding out the side. The replacements at Eckler's (#31769) and Mid America all have a small pipe and sell an "A.I.R. Pump to Converter Replacement Hose Kit" (#41194). Am I purchasing the right converter and do I need this "hose kit". If so, what does it attach too?

You probably want to check a little more. Some Cat Convt. have the A.I.R tube, some do not. I checked a place that I have used for other cars - cheapexhaust.com and the one they show for your car does not have the air tube. Your other choice is if you want to stay with a stock style or go to a free flow style which will be a little less restrictive.
