Wiper Door Linkage Question
I just went out and removed my wiper door on my 70. Bubba had been hard at work here. I afraid what is gonna happen when I get my new stuff to repair the door with. This is what was used to hold the door on. He made some brass inserts to go over the screws. How thoughtful. I am afraid my new screws are not gonna hold in the wiper door when I put them back into door itself. Any ideas on how to make sure the screws stay at home?
Bubba is very resourceful. Looks like three will be threaded wrong. You will have to decide whether they will work or not. You may be able to rethread. The new bolts have a shoulder and a plastic sleeve. The bolt tightens up on the shoulder.

Re: Wiper Door Linkage Question (wombvette)
The new bolts are 10/24 threads, I believe the bolts it took out are 1/4 20. Now I am gonna have to one up bubba. Any good ideas. I have some threaded inserts I can put in but I must drill out the wiper door holes even bigger to make the inserts fit. I don't really want to ruin my wiper door beyond repair.
Sorry guys I did not realize what my camera settings were when I took these pics. These are giant size pics but should have pretty good detail. Take a look and I will let you know how the install goes in a little while.
