'69 Big Block Smog System--get it quick!
Ebay item. Looks to be in very good shape & the buy price is only $675. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if the dates were right for my car (they're about a month too late)--I've been quoted as much as $1300 for these. The A.I.R. system actually costs you very little HP--only the parasitic drag from the belt, which isn't much. An intact smog pump system can add several thousands of dollars in value to a '69 big block.

Was AIR a "requirement" in California, but an "option" to the rest of the world in 1969?
It was optional in 1970. Don't know about California rules though.

I think that all '69 Corvettes, even the L88 and the ZL1, had A.I.R. injection systems.

Dep- I had a friend in college with an '83 Z28. One day he was bored and decided to simplify his car and put it on a diet. He started the car, popped the hood, and started removing things. If the car ran with it disconnected, it was yanked. :lol: :D It ran like that for another couple of years with no real problems.
