Default Electric Fan Question

The twin fan setup is darned expensive. Anyone use the single high flow 16" with success? I wonder if it'll be enough for a big block with a 4 core radiator.

Call Tom DeWitts, he is very knowledgeable and reasonability priced.

I but Spal makes an electric fan for your application. I have a 16' that cools my 350 just fine.

The last engine I ran was a 350 that produced about 375 horsepower and I used a flex a lite black magic single fan. It would run at 210 degrees on the hottest days(it gets pretty damn hot in tennessee) with the clapped out factory radiator. This is without the a/c hooked up and using a manual tranny. When I drove in traffic, the fan would stay on almost all the time. I think if I utilized a better shroud with this fan it would cool even better.

I too have the DeWitts Aluminum radiator with a single 16 inch fan. My car has no problems with over heating. The hottest it got all summer was about 200. Going down the road it stays at 185. When the thermostat hits setpoint, the fan comes on and stays on until it gets cool enough to cut off again. I am very happy with mine.
