Speedometer
I took the 80 out today for a short spin and noticed the speedometer bouncing up and down while driving. Were should start looking to correct this problem. Thanks

Re: Speedometer (TRUE-DUALS)
Three things. Cruise control module, Cable, Speedometer head.

:iagree:
I might add that it is most likely one of the cables. You might try removing the cable and lubricating them first. Easy to do and not very expensive.

:iagree: But I say Cruise module is the culprit.

Re: Speedometer (markdtn)
My 79 has started doing this since the weather got cold... once the car is warm it works fine...
I have no cruise control ..What do you lube the cable with ? .. some lightweight oil ?

Hmmm, my '79 started doing the exact same thing on Saturday. Usually at speeds below 50MPH. Just another problem for the list, lol.
