Default Generic Specs
Without looking up vin's, etc. What is a typical L48 mated to? I've got a 4 spd. What rear end gearing and axle is under L48's typically?

The usual 4 speed is a M 20 which is a wide ratio trans. The standard rear is a 3.36 with a wide ratio. They are many other combinations available so you might be different, but this is the norm

My '71 L-48 came with the M-20 and 3.36 gears.
