I thought that working on these cars is what you are supposed to do. That's how come there are quite a few low mileage deals to be had. Now that I'm done with the major stuff on mine I have to work on something else. Anyone know of a C2 basket case for cheap? :D
Re: are there any easy corvette projects? (Big Fish)
We just finished the driver's side spring and going over to the passenger side. I gave myself a nice contusion when I was working on separating the driver's side ball joint.
tsw71 as I pull the passenger side tire off: "That was the easiest thing I've done all day."
Steve: "Nah, watching me smash my index finger to bits with the hammer was the easiest thing you've done all day..."
Re: are there any easy corvette projects? (Pacin'California)
Here's what I have been working on, and nothing is easy... I just keep finding more things to replace and that my bank account disappears! Abra-Cadabra
Sure there are. I just haven't had very many of them.
The worst one I've dealt with so far is having fat hands and trying to get at the outer door handle rods inside the door. I've decided to take the car to the nearest Corvette specailty shop and pay someone to fix it.
The easiest project has been the 2 times I've had to replace the voltage regulator. Its pretty easy to do, even though it involves dismantling your alternator.
The brakes weren't real difficult, just messy.
I am planning to pull the engine over the winter and clean up all the under hood stuff. Hopefully fix some leaks, replace motor mounts, etc. Probably going to get new shocks too. Should be very time consuming, but not too difficult.
Wow, you're lucky. Mine were supposed to be done in a week, and i ended up spending two working almost all day every day. Ended up having to hack off some lines and replace them, but now they work real good and look real purdy.
Easy project? How about looking like you own the road when you drive anywhere?

The outer door handles have been the worst project I've done on mine. Had to get the wife's skinny hands to help out.
