I kept my existing radio and went with a 6 disc changer I mounted it in the jack storage compartment. The remote control fits nicely in the console below the power window switchs or I can tuck it along the seat if I don't want it to be seen at all.

Because it goes through the original radio the sound is only average, which is fine with me but wouldn't be good if you want to be bumping with the homies.

I love the location of my cd changer. It is convenient, never in the way and hard to find from outside the car. It is attached to a board that is glued to the underside of the roof at the rear storage area. I have a 77. By the way, I have a luggage rack. Two of the bolts extend into the rear compartment. I used these bolts to help secure the board to the underside of the rear deck.
