i used to buy a lot from Zip cause they were cheaper than Ecklers...
seems like Ecklers was always high...
but recently, when i price check...Ecklers has been the cheapest...
hhhmmm...
I just shopped for radiator seals, A-arm dust covers, hood air dam and radiator cushions. Every one of these items was cheapest at Zip. Great service too.
Re: what has happened to Ecklers? (foundvettelifeisgood)
i hear ya man...
i LOVE Zip...almost every resto part on my car came from there...
not just because of price...i have always found their customer service top shelf...especialy when there was a problem...but like you say, they always seemed to be the cheapest too...
lately tho, when i call, i seem to always get the guy who i dont think has ever even seen a corvette...who you get on the phone always seems to be the luck of the draw tho, where ever you call...
the last two times i bought stuff (latest was last night) i price shopped both and eckler was cheaper both times...
the only reason i even shopped them was a friend of mine just bought headlight actuators and said that they were considerably cheaper and when i checked...he was right...
i think another reason i went with them (even tho i do love Zip) was that they are here in Fla so shipping is next day at no extra charge and thats always nice... :yesnod:
You will soon see many new changes at Eckler's. They are really pushing forward and you will see a lot of new products from them, and they are not going to be just vettes any more.
Zip is great...but when it comes to the "little" stuff, nobody...and I mean nobody carries the amount of proper hardware (screws, bolts, nuts, etc) and mounting brackets like Doc Rebuild. I've gotten correct quality parts, and great customer service from them too. Shipping can be a little slow at times, but my 72 is patient.

I agree with you there. Doc Rebuild has parts for my 74 that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. The people there really know what they're talking about & are very helpful too.
