Default Emissions equipment

It seems as though I bought my car minus any emissions equipment. Guess I didn't notice since I was so excited about buying my first Corvette.

Anyhoo, can you guys please give me a rundown of the system and post some pics of the equipment installed. I look through some of my parts catalogs and they list the equipment, then I realize, not only do I not know what that hooks up to, I don't know where to mount it.

Many thanks to all in advance.

Oh, yeah, this is for a 1980 L-48. But I assume some stuff is common for more than one year.

Here are two pics of my old 1980 4 spd car that was all stock.
All '80s had EGR valves, Carbon canisters, PCV valves, Smog(A.I.R. pumps), EFE(Early Fuel Evaporation, the vacuum pod that opens the heat riser). You'll have to compare pics to yours and also use catalogs & books for other info.

Can you point out some of that stuff on your pics? I still have a pcv valve in the valve cover. I have a feeling that is about the extents of my original equipment.

Here is what I'm starting with:

The GM manual for your 1980 will be a help, also you might want to check with Dr. ReBuild for an emission hose kit for your 1980. I believe these kits come with a diagram specific for your year.

You will need exhaust manifolds with correct plumbing for the AIR (Air Injector Reactor, EGR system (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), EFE system (Early Fuel Evaporation), smog pumps (AIR), plumbing from smog pump to exhaust manifolds, diverter valves, thermal vacuum switches (TVS), air cleaner with working vacuum motors for the choke, air cleaner choke elbow, aluminum choke hose, exhaust manifold stove, fan pulley to drive the AIR pump, fan belts, brackets, etc, etc, etc, ... You should check to see if the EFE gas line has been disconnected or removed. Putting in a new EFE line from the tank is a PITA if the body is on the frame.

This can run into $$ so you may want to check with various vendors, I think some of them offered deals on packages of smog equipment.
