My girlfriend just bought a '79 coupe (Her first vette!), Needs a little fixing up but is in very good shape. I was wondering if I could ask for some information...
We want to put flowmaster on it, but I can't find a kit for her year. It has exhaust manifolds on it right now, I am looking for a kit that has mandrel bent tubing from the manifolds back to the tail pipes with flowmaster, does one exist? If not what would you recommend?
Aw man, don't be a mustang and get Flowmasters. Everybody has a flow. Be different. How bout dynomax or hooker or magnaflow? Flows have a lot of backpressure. You can get more horses from a different muff. Someone posted up a muffler comparo....if i could only find it....
Welcome I am also new here. I have a 79 I took mine to a local muff shop and had them cut-out the old exhaust and custom install a true dual system. Sounds and looks great. Als quite cheap $350 for the complete job

I agree with the others. If you want a true dual system, get the mufflers for your application and have the pipes custom bent/installed at a good muffler shop. I avoid the muffler shop chains as they typically lack the skill of a good local muffler shop (and you get a better deal/quality in my opinion with the local shop).
FYI, Dynomax sells a complete Cat-back 'Super Turbo' system for the C3. You can order at most Auto Parts stores. So, if you are wanting to retain the stock front y-pipe and converter, I highly recommend their system. Otherwise, buy the mufflers that you prefer and let the sop work their magic. Remember, have the pipes welded; not clamped together. :seeya
