Ah alas, the good old days of dwell meters and setting up a carburator by ear. Stting valve lash was an aquired skill and testing a battery was childs play. Now I have a car that doesn't even have a distributor and i doubt if valve lash is even a concern! :confused:

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Brought back memories of my worked 350 that I had in the late 70's. I had a Accel dual point dist on that. It was the one without the window. It was a "bear" getting the dwell to match.
:banghead: I did that on many occasions.
SUNOCO 260 gasoline that was right around 100 octane ( leaded). Goodyear Polyglas GT's. Thrush mufflers. Knowing how to set points with a match pack ( the cover is about .020 thick).
