Default New guy with questions....

Hi guys - I'm new to your forum, but not to corvettes. I just purchased my 4th ( I had a 77, 74 and 89) - a 1970 L-46 coupe Carmel Bronze and I have some questions.

My plans for the car is for it to be a driver, not a show car. So, I will be performing some mild modifications.

First - Is there a search engine on the forum? I didn't see it and I didn't want to ask a bunch of questions that have been beaten to death. :banghead:

Second - Keep the Points or convert to Electronic? I'm trying to figure out if I should change out the distributer (to MSD), keep the stock and just convert to electronic, or....????

Third - The car has a Edelbrock Street Master intake. Anyone know anything about this intake?

Thanks,

Tim

Welcome, look to the left and click on search. Keep the stock distribtor so your tach functions, you can install a Pertronix ignition inside your stocker. They work well.

As far as the Street Master, I have no clue. Have fun!!

Welcome to the forum, I installed the crane XRi electronic module in my stock distributor. Very easy to install, has a rev limmiter adjustment with it. That way your tach will work and every thing will look stock and you can use your distributor shielding.
