I pulled off the freeway today to a gas station and the had to drive on the side road and do a u turn to get back on the freeway. well i drive out onto the road and get into the left hand turn lane to do my uturn. there is no oncoming traffic so i decide to smack the throttle and kick the car around to go the other way...well apparently i am used to my 150hp 170tq at the wheel and not to my new 383 stroker. I hit the throttle and whipped around quicker than my head could turn and before I knew it I was facing the suburban that was directly behind me in the turn lane. the lady in the burb was freaking out..I waved, smiled and took off like my butt was on fire..it was an interesting experience......torque truly is a drug

yeah i love it...i have really sticky tires too...but they are on 17's....one of the guys in my shop (he is very very knowledgable in moving thingys like cars) is always telling me to get those darn 17's off my car (he tunes my car btw) and put at least my original 15's back on if not some convos like c3's and some wide tires.

He He He...
It was quite a experience for me when I had my 383 installed... Instead of being unable to spin the tires in first gear - I can spin my 255's each shift (exept 4 - 5)....   .. That's why I have ET Streets for the track...
Traction is a bitch if you have a lot of power

17 inch wheels and correct tires is so much better than the limited choices of 15 inch wheels.
sticky AA traction Z-Rated 315 and 325 width 17's will give any vette traction into the mid 500 hp

The scariest ride I can remember was in a 4 speed SMB 73 vette. Man I don't know what was done to that engine but when the owner nail the accelerator and I sat in the passenger seat scared to death, The front end hopped what seemed to be at least a foot the rear end just fish-tailed all over the road. Wild wild ride. That was the day when I gained all respect for the jewel of an engine called a SMB. NO wonder GM produced over 50 million of the jewels and still going strong.

Mine was in my 67 Camaro - 4 people in the car doing 50MPH. Downshift into 2nd and hit the nitrous. Got totally sideways doing 50! Missed a phone pole and into a empty cornfield. No damage whatsoever. Very lucky.

i wish i could take a day off...things are so slow right now i'm having to work 9 am - 10pm every day to make ends meet. I normally get 5-6 referrals sold a months and another 9-10 fresh deals....I've had 1 referral this month and very little in the fresh dept.
