If you want to look at some of the best vettes for all years and Chevys that are supurb + every major vendor in Vette parts with some good show prices and a ton of used parts it is worth the trip. Expensive for parking and admission and food + your hotel. Weather is ok here no snow.

I was a little dissapointed at last spring's show with the used parts. I felt that there was a fairly limited amount of stuff there, most of it not all that great, and the vendors wanted way too much for the stuff. Bloomington Gold was pretty much the same way. Now there are a lot of very good new parts and after-market vendors that were offering some sort of deals, free shipping was one deal offered by several of them. The car displays were very good, some real first class rides there. I don't think this show is worth spending 2 days at, but there is a lot to do in Chicago. There are some excellent museums and probably the best pizza you will find anywhere.

Chevy VetteFest is always a good show and I am going from 3 hours away, but, if you are really from Pittsburgh, PA, I would have to say it probably is not worth it unless you have family or friends in Chicago you REALLY want to see. It is a top class car show with some really overpriced junk parts.

The fall show is usually much better than the spring show. More vendors; more cars, probably because March in Chicago can still be pretty nasty weaterwise.

I've been to a few of them. I end up spending way too much time in the used parts/Vendor area. I've scored a bunch of great deals.

Last spring there were only a few C3's.

Yeah, it IS worth it! I went two years ago in the fall and it was awesome! Many cars...you'll spend hours in there drooling!

...and I drove there all the way from Ontario, Canada!!!

The really neat thing about the Vette Fest is you go there and come home home with a big plastic bag of literature and catalogs that you will never need and stick it on the shelf until the wife yells to throw out your junk. Then you spend too much money on some parts that you probably don't need, but can't live without. Then the best part is to get the ideas of what to do to your Vette and get real excited when you leave. But .... you don't have the $$'s to do it. Great day though.
