mallory wires question
the new Pertronix points conversion kit says DO NOT USE WITH SOLID CORE WIRES
The wires on here are Mallory 8mm silicone spiral core wires. These aren't solid core right? Forgive my stupidity.

Spiral Core wires are ok to use. I have the MSD spiral core wires in use with my Pertronix. No problems so far. You should be just fine.

thank you Eddie, any other tips before I get started? Oh BTW I also bought a complete 3 set springs/ weight/ shim kit from Summit. Which springs did you end up using?

NO Cali, the wires your asking about are not solid core..cut one to working length and when you strip it back you will see the core plainly..
Good luck David..
BTW, Solid core wires are rare except in racing applications as they tend to cause loud noises into your speakers with the radio trying to play.
