My 1976 has a constant squeek from the brakes. The brakes are in great shape and fairly new. It doen't squeek when the brakes are depressed. I can not seem to pinpoint which exact wheel the noise is coming from. Has anyone else had this problem.
Noise #2: When I decellerate to a stop, there is a noise in the rear that sounds like something mechanical turning on, kind of like a revving sound. Is that the power brakes or something? Not sure how to describe it....

Re: Noises in my '76 Vette (iveka)
Well here’s a hot tip from this months Corvette Fever. Remove your brake pads – yep, all of them but keep them organized by wheel location. Clean the back of pads – brake cleaner. Coat with anti-squeal compound and let dry. Reinstall in correct wheel. Should be good for years.
Now that whining sound in back is the police trying to catch up with you so just floor it. :jester
