Default 82 Vacuum question

Having problems getting headlamp assemblies to raise on my 82. It appears that I need a just little bit more vacuum to get the lights up. Other than hoses, etc, is there anything related to the engine that needs to be changed to increase vacuum outpput from the engine? I have replaced the seals and boots on the actuator and checked all hoses for leaks....

Just guessing here, but try greasing them, also it could be one of the check valves. But what do I know, I have been finger lifting mine for almost a year now...

I thought everything on your car worked. :D

the vacuum valves located just forward of the hood may be going bad.

i would check the vac holding tank they will rust out then you will loose vacuume and not have enough to lift the lights . start at the vac hose that comes off the manifold with a gauge so that you know how much vacuume you are staring with then check it before it goes into the vac tank then as it comes out of the tank .
