Did any of you Keisler owners (or waiting for your Keisler) check out 5speedtransmissions.com? They have a kit with an offset shifter that works in C3's. Both installations are similar. Is the Keisler worth the extra money and wait?

Re: 5 speed conversion (Older Than Dirt)
lynn, it's just one of those decisions a man has to make. There are many little things that some of us are capable of making or coming up with that aren't included in 5speedtransmissions.com 's kit. Mike Pell is as nice a guy as I have ever met and will bend over backwards to help you out. No, I didn't buy my 5spdtrans from him but I will the next one.
As for Kiesler, they really have there act together and even though I think they are a little high priced they can provide everything you need and have come up with a nice modified tailhousing to clear the welded in factory 4spd crossmembers.
As for the offset shifter, a spacer block is all that is needed, and that ain't rocket science. Do a search here or at Corvette FAQ's and there are many installation "How To's" available. Read them all and see if you need the all inclusive package or the " I'll do it myself for a lot less money package"
Either way, you're gonna like the trans onece it gets installed. Jim

There is one important difference here. The Keisler kit can be installed without any permanent mods to the trans tunnel, because they offset the entire shifter to the left, not just the shifter shaft. The Keisler kit is kinda expensive, but it's still your only option if you ever want to go back to stock.
I'm wondering why go through all the hasle and expense? The only thing I did to the Doung Nash (Richmond) install; change a U joint, use a 26 tooth spline, modify the tranny bracket..(instructions). If you're not handy with a welder, any competent shop can do the welding for a fee.
Forgot to mention, the 5 speed shifter is in the stock location without any mods to the console, offsets, etc.
