need help with a switch
someone please tell me how to get my headlight switch apart , I'm trying to install my new dash and I can't figure out if the pull **** - pulls off or screws off? :smash:

You need to locate a small button on the light switch it is on one side of the switch. you need to hold it in wile you pull out the switch ****. It should slide out. :cheers:

If I remember right it has some type of locking mech that you need to use a pin to release it inside the actual switch, it does not unscrew or pull off. You need to have the dash pad out to really get to get to it . My bezel was broken so I glued it to the dash pad but I think it unscrews and then there is a nut under it that holds the switch tight to the dash pad.

I saw a small spring loaded pin on the mech side , I went as far as taking the switch apart to see if I was missing something , I'll try that pin at lunch.

NO NO NO You have to push in that small button and slide out the ***. then you can unbolt the switch I have done this more thane once. Many gm cars are the same way.

The mystery pin worked :party: I looked in the AIM and the haynes manual , couldn't find the info anywhere..............but here!
