LS1 in a C3

I am thinking about installing LS1 and 6 speed in my 75 vert.Any suggestions?I believe someone here on the forum installed one in a bumper car and had details on his web site.I don't recall who it was.Does anyone know?

70LS1 is one of the very few with driving LS! powered C-3. I'm on it, but about a month away from completion.

How much of a hassle is the LS1 to install?How much fabrication did you have to do(motor mounts,trans mount)?

It's not a real hassle. Most parts are over the counter, except for crossmember and clutch slave bracket. I can email you both motor mount and slave cylinder template when you are ready. I'm going to try to mod the trans crossmember this week, so look for updates.

By the way it's not a cheap swap. Prepare to spend $2000 or $3000 just on small stuff. ie hoses, fans, speed and tach convertors.

Thanks for the offer for the templates I will surely take you up on that.As far as this not being a cheap swap I kinda figured that.Nothing that I have found on a corvette is cheap.

That is for sure. You can plan on spending about $6000 on your conversion. It sounds like a lot, but it is well worth it. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask or email me.
