Performer EPS intake installed...
The only other issue was no room for the vacuum fitting under the Holley DP (even though it's a very short fitting). The old manifold (Torker II) had more clearance, plus I was using a 1/2" phenolic spacer. Can't use the spacer with the EPS though, since there's not enough hood clearance. Had to T into the carbs manifold vacuum.
No idea if everything's ok at this point since I'm waiting a couple days for the RTV to cure.
Here's the list of stuff I used.
ARP stainless manifold bolts (at 25 ft.lbs)
Fel-Pro 1204 gaskets (blocked exhaust crossover)
RTV for china walls and around water passages
Permatex #2 for bolts
Permatex High-Tack for gaskets
Start of the cleanup...

Just about done...

Mine isn't an EPS, just a #3701 Performer EGR. Once upon a time, it looked great.

The "big" carb is a Holley 650 DP, which replaced a 750. It runs pretty well... If I had it to do over again, I'd go with a vacuum secondary. The DP's are gas hogs and really not necessary (IMO) for street use. I tried the DP because, well hell, because I never had one before. How's 'bout that for research. I'm using a drop base 14x3" air cleaner and have just under 1/2" hood clearance.
Today was test day for the new intake. Drove it for about 30 minutes then re-torqued. Big seat of the pants gain over the Torker II? Not really. Off idle was a certain improvement, and low speed punches were very responsive. Top end differences? No idea. I only picked up 1.5" of manifold vacuum, running 16.5" now. Actually, 15" at idle was pretty good anyway. The carb only required small mixture tweaks, but do plan to start the carb tuning routine again. Everything's going back to stock and starting over.
Overall first impressions
1) I got the distributor back in the right slot. Yes!
2) The car started without much ado.
3) Runs great
4) Shiny new parts!
