Well after months of asking questions......Thanks for all the help. I finally have something to show. Thanks to the long weekend these past few days I finished with the re-carpet and the addition of a nice little sound system.
:)
She's a work in progress. Suspension, wheels and tires are complete. The rest of the inside looks like this.
I've got new leather and padding for the seats as the next project.
And here's the outside.
If things go as planned I'll be pulling the engine later this winter. She runs great but smokes a lot when I let off the gas after getting on it....I think that means value guides. She a 73 with 67K original miles. Hopefully, depending on finances....while the engine and tranny are out I'll trailer her down to the Paint and body shop for a nice deep LeMans Blue Metallic paint job.
Well I added the pictures, as for the equipment....
I didn't want to cut the guage cluster and radio frame so I went with a Kenwood KRC-2007 stero cassette it's only a 25watts per channel unit so as you see I added the Sony Xplod 444watt 4 channel amp. Rockford Fasgate 8" subwoofers complete the back. In the kickpanels are Boston Acoustic 4x6 FX7's
Nice clean looking '73 and it appears you are looking to make it even better with all the work you are going to. Sometimes I think low mileage on these vettes is not all the best since that probably means that they were not used regularly and things tend to decay, rot or don't seal right when they come back to life. The '74 I sold just recently was one of those that sat for 13 years. Remind me not to buy something like that again.
Good luck with your project and post things as they go.
