Default Will ZR1 Rims fit for 1973 Vert?

Does anyone have firsthand experience with fitting real ZR1 5 spoke rims (not GS or Camaro offsets) to a 1973? I am not really worried about the tire sticking out as I have greenwood flares on my 73. I am more interested in how the 275/40/17 and 315/35/17 fill out the wheel wells. I know I will need adapters, but not sure of the measurement yet.

Pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

In the back of my 1980, with no flares, I have 285/40/17's on 17x9.5 wheels from a 1996 Vette. The tire hangs out about 1/4 - 1/2 inch and just misses the brake cable. If you move the e-brake cable, and go with a smaller size adapter they should fit inside the wheel well.

I don't know about any sizes larger than that though.

.....If you move the e-brake cable, ....
Move as in REMOVE??

Will the 275s fit without moving/removing the e-brake?

Do you have pictures from other angles? I am sure you do, please post

I run 17x9.5 GS wheels with 56mm offset. I also have to use 3 inch adapters from VBP. I run 275-40-17's on all four corners without flares. The rear tires are about flush with the fender. I did not cut or move the E-brake. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I like the look of "flush with the body" in the rear. 275s it is...

I believe my ZR1 rims are ~36.5 mm offset. I guess the only way to know is to fittest and measure. If they work, I will post some pics.

BLKDOUT, do you have any pics of your setup? I would love to see it.

Thank,
