5-speed or 6-speed
The ROD 5 is a bit easier to install than the 6 because the 6 is a bit longer. But if you fabricate a removable crossmember, installing either one becomes a piece of cake. Once adjusted, I absolutely love the feel of the ROD Longs shifter.
ROD6: 48, 75, 102, 130, 160, 195mph @ 6500 w/ 3.08's
3.27, 2.13, 1.57, 1.23, 1.00, 0.82
ZO6: 48, 69, 100, 143, 171, 255mph @ 6500 w/ 3.42's
2.97, 2.07, 1.43, 1.00, 0.84, 0.56

I'm no so much worried about "difficulty", more about specialty tools, or anything I won't be able to do myself.

The T-56 requires floor cuttingand many other mods. The ROD has the same input shaft, same pilot, same bellhousing, same length and same driveshaft as the Muncie or T-10.

Look at the RPM drop on the 1st to 2nd shift of the TKO.
