What you need to know. There are several clubs trhoughout Australia. Car racing is pretty much all year round, but it does depend on the type of racing.
The NATIONAL CORVETTE CONVENTION is being held in Melbourne this coming Easter...over 100 vettes from all over downunder....why don't you come down then?
Never snows, sometimes rains.....road racing, drags all year,it is a pretty big place, approx 2000 miles accross and 3500 up and down with lots of parts with nothing in them.....when are you thinking of arriving and where?.....there are corvette clubs in all states that we can put you in touch with...john :seeya
time frame not set yet, trying for 2-3 months but you know how things work
as far as where ? where is most of the race tracks? i don't even know how
long i can stay? does the gov. give green card down there? i was guessing
to stay 2-6 months.. kinda like a working walkabout thing, thats why i'm
working on contacts now
Comp,we are pretty friendly down here....i don't think you even need a visa....most live on the eastern seabord, with an outpost of civilization at perth on the southwest coast...there are only 20 million people hereand i suspect if we all held hands we wouldn't have enough people to go round the coast let alone cover the interior....melbourne where i live is remarkably similar to chicago except for the weather......it is never really cold or wet here....john :seeya

Have you ever wondered why a country the size of the USA has a population of only 20 million?
Welcome to Australia, watch where you step. :blueangel:
Hmmm, thanks for the info John! I WAS planning on a visit to Queensland next year...... :D We've got wasps & Hornets - do they count? Oh yeah, we've also got a lot of Aussies in the Earls Court area of London who can be dangerous when provoked
Joe, Could you give a bit more info on the Melbourne Vette thing? I've got a good mate in Tassie who'd be VERY interested in it.
