Wayne Chrebet is a Corvette Guy
Okay, this morning has been very slow for me. I have managed to eat breakfast, check out the forum and watch TV.
I just saw Wayne Chrebet(sp???) has a Viper, a Bentley and a white 61 vette, a black 66 BB, and a 71 small block. All the vettes were all original and only the 71 had a repaint. Sweet rides no doubt. Which one to ride off into the sunset on is what he said at the end of his segment. Pretty nice set up.
Yeah he has Corvettes, but I wouldn't say he's a "Corvette Guy." He made it pretty clear that he doesn't know much about them. When he popped the hood on the 66, he said, "I don't know much about this, it just looks pretty!"
I guess it's sort of  that he likes Corvettes, but he isn't a Real Corvette Guy
Now if he hung out here on the Forum, then he'd be Real Corvette Guy
:D
I really liked the Steel Cities Gray 71 he had, it was sweet!

Re: Wayne Chrebet is a Corvette Guy (Smokehouse69)
I guess I did misstate that topic. My wife made it clear to me one night while we were on vacation in Charleston. A guy pulls up to the motel where we were staying. I strike up a conversation with him and he says he knows nothing about the car, he bought it just the way it was and didn't know anything about it. After the conversation was over, my wife said it was clear to her that "He was a guy with a corvette and not a corvette guy". Damn good observation on her part I always thought.
The guy left the top down and put a club on the steering wheel and went into the little club.
At the last local chapter NCRS meet I went to one of the members said he had just sold his vette to Wayne Chrebet. It was a nice top flight smallblock, I guess the 71 you saw. :) MJ
