Anybody have a use for a $42,000 truck? Said to be this years Indy Pace Car.
I think this would look good next to Vaal in the driveway.

I've seen one up close. Less room than a C5 cockpit, a wierd motor (327 I think), no towing capability, no bed space.

Basically as usefull as a C3. :D

Not for me. Don't like the looks. Not very useful. I already have an unpractical car.

It's a "niche" limited make vehicle. Just like the prowler. GM doesn't expect to sell very much. It's just to show off the NEW GM. That's all.

I predict these will be going for ~$50k with dealer markup! :yesnod:

For $42K, I'd buy used $25K 2000 C5 to use as a daily driver and pocket the difference. :yesnod:

I saw one at the 50th annv. in Nashvilee this summer. It's neat but they quit making the Camaro/Firebird platform for this? According to GM they couldn't make money on them, how can they on a truck that weighs almost 4700 lbs  and has 8 sec. 0-60 times and cost $42000? Time to quit sniffing glue.

I drove one, hated them till I got to drive one, very nice, lots of power. Its got an all aluminum 327, 20" rear 19" front rims, and a power top that is sweet as hell to watch go down, and yes they sound awesome, I definetly wouldn't buy one for the price tag, but would be cool to own for something more like 27 grand or so.

they are stickering for 10k over sticker but are going for 3500-5000 depending on what part of the country you are buying in, dealerships are quickly running out due to the fact that most are getting only 1 or 2. So the price will bounce up for a while. they are very quick but no fast if your know what i mean. they sound awesome and have 300hp out of the 5.3 litre/323c.i. engine

btw the reason they are so much is simple math folks....if they made a million of em like the suburbans they could ofset the price of the R&D and whatnot on all of em, since production is very limited they have to cover the costs on a few....which means more price.. :steering:

I'd like to have one if I had that much extra. I love the looks of this car. But they don't sell those in Finland... :cuss

I don't care for it myself. The front grill looks like a Chrysler to me, and does the front bumper really cut across (and block) the headlights?? Not very attractive or functional styling in my book. :( MJ
