I have a three spoke wheel with some guys name and phone number engraved ( badly) into one of the metal spokes. Its rather rare, a little odd, and Im going to replace it with one that doesn't have a number scribed into it. I should check the bottom of the car for a sticker that reads " if lost please bring to Mrs lowings first grade class".
I mean,...Phuleeeeese.....who writes their name and number on a steering wheel? and if your going to...why on earth would you make it look like you wrote it during a 9.0 magnitute earthquake while riding a rodeo bull thats jumping on a trampoline? Ive started looking for evidence of sticky notes that read " gas" "brake"....."sit here"......"look out large window"......"do not eat the weatherstrip". Its just plain odd.....
In 1988 I bought an issue of "Corvette World" magazine. They had an article on the Bloomington Special Collection for that year. In 1969 some 16 year old's parents bought him a 69 L88. He scribed his name and his girlfriend's name on the console said the article. Incidentally if I remember correctly, it said he hated the car because it always overheated. Go figure.
