12 inch converter,,,,,any good
a friend has just given me a 12 inch torque converter, i think off of a 1979 Z28 camaro,
i don't know what size my 77 corvette will have,
is it worth me thinking of fitting this one????
and if so, how would it improve things????

It is probably the same as what you have in your 77. Over here you can take it to a tranny shop and they can dyno test them to tell you if it's any good and tell you the stall speed.
I have had race converters sawn in half and repaired. But stock large converters are so cheap that it's easier to just buy a new one
