newbie
I also currently own a clean '86 SS Monte Carlo with it's share of mods, which is soon to be DFI'd and roller 406'd.
But enough of that,on to the good stuff! I bought my 1975 Corvette from my ex-brother-in-law(I know,I know,never buy from family!),and it has had almost everything redone,except the frame(which needs it,anyone selling one,cheap? ;-) It has a 30 over '73 L82,pink rods,forged TRW slugs,stock crank,305 heads hogged for 202/160s(blehcch!)which gives me about 10.5:1 compression,Lunati Bracket Master II 292@ cam(230/480),Performer RPM intake,650 SpeedDemon VE,HEI w/Accel coil.
Exhaust is Summit headers, and custom bent 2 1/2" pipe w/Magnaflow mufflers.
Tranny is the factory TH400,rebuilt w/Trans-Go shiftkit,and a re-stalled 11" 3K stall torque converter.
The suspension is where I get lost. I know he's done some poly bushings, installed trimmed 550lb front springs,Hd rear spring ,and made some sort of solid steel bushings in the rear. The rear gear ratio is the factory 3.08:1 posi, which sucks with this cam! As a matter of fact, when I got it it was all mismatched, but I'll tell that story later! :D
I'm hoping to figure out how to post some pix of it,and eventually create a web site on my cars.
All in all,I just wanted to say Hi,and tell everyone how fortunate I am to have found this forum! I have a lot to learn, and I hope I don't bug everyone too much with all my questions!
Randy
ps. It came with some extra parts which I'll be posting for sale here soon.
