Hey folks, I'd like to convert my front end to a tilt front end, like GrandSportC3's. He told me to check out Ecklers, but the only front end tilt conversion kit they sell is for older C3's. So if anybody knows of where I can buy a kit, or has instructions on how to do this, please let me know. I think the tilt front end looks bad butt as opposed to just poppin the hood... TIA
Well then maybe there's a kit that tilts the front end and lifts it up a few inches as well?? Maybe with the help of some of those trunk helper shocks, you could install them onto the whole assembly somewhere, and it would lift the front end up enough to have it sit on some sort of brackets that keep it off the ground? Or maybe use a swing hinge of some sort? Hmm... Now I'm really curious...
other than the Ecklers kit.. there is a company that sells the Maco Shark tilt front.. However - I don't have a link to the site or the phone number...
Looks like you beat me to the post by a few seconds. I'm gonna check into this kit. Thanks bud...
Good Luck!! I hope that it's still available...
I remember seeing other kits available at that site... You might wanna browse through that site.. It is specialized in custom Vettes and Maco Sharks and Replicas... http://www.makoshark2.com
I saw the car at Carlisle and they've developed a great product for a driver 80-82 Corvette. You'll have to do quite a bit of custom work yourself to clean everything up if you want to show your car.
