Anyways, I just got the car outta the shop, and the middle bulbs in the rear don't light up at all. The outside bulbs are on, and work for turn signal, but don't get darker when I press the brakes. Thus, no brake lights.
I'm just wondering which of the 4 back lights are supposed to come on/get darker when I press the brakes? Is it just the two center ones?
If so, then that would make sense. In that case, I assume it is just the bulbs, unless two going out at the same time seems suspecious. You guys ever run into other problems with Corvette break light?
If they only have one level of brightness on the two outside lights (Never get brighter when flashing or with the brakes applied) check to make sure you have the right bulbs installed. They should be #1157.
The two center "lights" are red reflectors with white back up lights.
I just replaced the brake light switch on my 80. It was a $3 part. All you have to konw is whether or not you have cruise control. The difference is one connection for no cc, two with cc.
